FEBRUARY 12-14, 2026 | HOUSTON, TX
This is an ASPDA member only event. The intended audience for the ASPDA Advanced Practice Workshop is those who are striving to best serve the growth of our profession in its current state. This 1.5 day workshop is designed for Sports and Performance RDs who have been in their roles for at least six months and are committed to advancing their programs. It is particularly suited for those who seek guidance with establishing their services as an integral component of their programs or practices or whose programs are undergoing a transition. The workshop begins with a 2-hour program titled "Business Essential Skills and Navigating Your World Beyond Nutrition." Following that program, guided discussions by a variety of veteran sports and performance RDs will be used to help each attending sports and performance RD think through their mission and vision for their program and practice to establish a lasting infrastructure to meet the needs of their specific institution, organization, or practice.
Applications will be open October 29 - November 30, 2025
The Advanced Practice Workshop Committee will read through the applications and choose the group of Sports and Performance RDs who will benefit most from the workshop content. Selected applicants will be notified in early December 2025. Space is limited!

ASPDA sports and performance RDs who have been at their job for more than 6 months, whose program or practice is in transition and are looking for guidance on how to better build their services into a program/practice rather than just being utilized as people on staff. Attendees may or may not have benefitted from mentorship already but should be ready to take their career to a new level. They must be in a growth mindset to benefit. Veteran Sports and Performance RDs will provide insight into their own successes and shortcomings early in their careers for key learnings within the workshop. This will allow for thoughtful discussion and planning for the future of attendees’ sports and performance nutrition programs within their own institution, organization or practice. If you are not an ASPDA member, please click here to join ASPDA.
